1. Drymaria cordata (Linnaeus) Willdenow ex Schultes in J. J. Roemer et al., Syst. Veg. 5: 406. 1819.

Holosteum cordatum Linnaeus, Sp. Pl. 1: 88. 1753

Varieties 2 (1 in the flora): introduced; Mexico, West Indies, Central America, South America (to Argentina); introduced in Africa, Asia, Pacific Islands.

Contrary to J. A. Duke (1961), it appears best to consider Drymaria cordata as introduced in North America. The earliest collections were made in Florida in the early 1900s.
