Bracts distinctly short-petiolate. Flower nodding; petals linear to linear-lanceolate, 0.5–2.4 × 0.2–0.6 cm; pedicel ± leaning to almost horizontal.
Flowering spring--summer (May--Jul). Coniferous or mixed montane forest; 1200--2000 m; Calif.
