Davidson’s Indian-lettuce

Montia spathulata (Douglas ex Hooker) Howell var. viridis Davidson, Bull. S. Calif. Acad. Sci. 5: 61. 1907

Basal leaf blades linear, 1-15 × 0.5-1 cm. Cauline leaves distinct; blade linear to trullate, 1-5 × 0.5-1 cm, or deeply cleft into 2 ovate segments. Flowers 3-5 mm diam., petals white or pink. 2n = 24, 36.

Flowering Mar-May. Decomposed granite or sandstone; 100-2000 m; Ariz., Calif., Nev.; Mexico (Baja California).
