Stems 4-20 cm, scabrous, pubes-cent, hairs 2-4 times as long as broad. Leaf blades narrowly lin-ear to lanceolate, 1.5-5 cm × 2-10(-15) mm. Petals dusty pink.
Flowering summer. Serpentine outcrops; 1200-1500 m; Calif.
Subspecies greenei is found in the Cascades and Sierra Nevada.
