Leaf blades glaucous, spatulate or obovate, 11-32 × 6-30 mm, apex obtuse. Flowering shoots 10-20 cm; leaf blades glaucous, nearly suborbiculate, base cordate, clasping stem. Flowers: sepals 2-4 mm, apex acute or subacute; petals pink, white, or yellowish white, 8-10 mm; anthers yellow. 2n = 30.
Flowering late spring-mid summer. Rock ledges; 100-2400 m; Calif., Oreg.
Variety heckneri is known from the Klamath Mountains.
