Plants to 5 cm, (diminutive, somewhat stocky). Leaf blades 1-2 × 0.8-1 cm. Inflorescences 1-4-flowered. Flowers homo-stylous; corolla lobes 10- 20 mm. 2n = 22.
Flowering summer. Moist alpine meadows and rocky slopes on granitic bedrock; 0-1500 m; B.C.; Alaska; e Asia (Russian Far East).
