Plants ± erect or ascending; trichomes tuberculate through-out, center low-mounded. Basal leaves: blade margins entire. Racemes secund, usually elongated and loose in fruit. Fruiting pedicels curved (recurved) or slightly sigmoid. Petals yellow. Fruits as wide as or longer than wide, apex rounded-acute; valves glabrous inside; septum ± perforate; ovules 4(-8) per ovary; style 3-6 mm.

Flowering May-Jun. Light-colored silt, limestone gravel, rocky areas with low sagebrush; 500-1000 m; Idaho, Nev., Oreg.
