Fruiting pedicels 2-4(-5.5) mm. Fruits: valves glabrous or sparsely pubescent, trichomes not uniform; style 1.8-2.5(-3) mm.
Flowering May-Jun. Shale outcrops and sandy soils of sagebrush-woodland areas; 2100-3400 m; Utah.
Subspecies lucens is known from the West Tavaputs Plateau.
