高赤箭

Rhizome tuberous, fusiform to ellipsoid, 8-20 cm long, 3-7 cm thick, densely annulate, squamate. Stem 30-100 cm long or more, distantly noded and sheathed. Raceme 5-30 cm long, 20-50-flowered; bracts lanceolate, up to 15 mm long. Flowers urceolate, ventricose at base, yellowish; pedicel and ovary 0.7-1.2 cm long; sepals and petals connate at base, 5-lobed at apex, smooth outside, about 1 cm long, sepal lobes slightly spreading, dorsal sepal joined with 4/5 of its length to petals, lateral sepals connate basally for about 1/2 their length, ventricose around connate part; petals oblong, free apex orbicular, 2 mm long; lip ovate-oblong, trilobed, 6-8 mm long, recurved , minutely erose and irregularly fimbriate at upper margin, joined with perianth-tube at base; column 5-7 mm long, without distinct foot. Capsules ellipsoid, to 2 cm long, pedicel not lengthened.

TAICHUNG: Yuling to Shihyuen, Su 7979.

China and Japan. Taiwan, in forests at central range about 2,000-3,000 m.
