    Rhizomes terete, stiff, ca. 1.5 mm in diam. Pseudobulbs 1-3 cm apart, ovoid, 1-2 cm long, 6-10 mm wide, greenish yellow, obscurely rugose. Leaves sessile, linear-oblong, 3-7 cm long, ca. 1-1.8 cm wide, apex obtuse or slightly retuse, base cuneate. Scapes ca. 4-7 cm long, yellowish green, with minute scales below; bracts ca. 2-3 mm long; pedicel and ovary 8-10 mm long. Flowers 5-8, in an umbel, ca. 1.5 cm long; dorsal sepal reddish, ovate, 3-4 mm long, 1.5-2 mm wide, upper part thinner, with 3 dark veins, rounded to obtuse at apex, lower part thickened and concave, with many small processes outside; lateral sepals orange to yellow, often connate along upper edge, linear-oblong, 1-1.5 cm long, 2-3.5 mm wide, base oblique, with purplish veins; petals reddish, obovate to elliptic, 3 mm long, 1.5 mm wide, 3-nerved, slightly oblique; lip yellowish brown above, reddish below, horn-like, ca. 3 mm long, recurved at apex; column purple, 1.5 mm long, with 2 short stylids at top, foot 2 mm long, curved upward; anther operculate, reddish, ca. 0.5 mm long; pollinia 2 or 4 in coherent pairs. Capsules ellipsoid, ca. 1.5 mm long. Seeds fusiform, 0.4 mm long, tips shortly caudate.

    Widely distributed in southern China, the Himalaya, India, Myanmar, Thailand, and Indochina. Taiwan, very common in forests at 500-1,500 m throughout the island.
