Senecio monanthus Diels
Stems erect, 30-60 cm tall, flexuous, glabrate toward base, branched apically, branches crisp puberulent. Leaves chartaceous, ca. 4, remotely arranged; lower leaves long petiolate, subtriangular-reniform, to 13×19 cm, apex acute, base cordate, margins mucronulate, upper surface green, lower surface minutely crisp-puberulent, pale, densely cobwebby; upper leaves gradually smaller with shorter petiole; leaf below inflorescence linear. Heads numerous in panicles; peduncle 1-3.5 mm long. Involucre cylindric, 8.5-11 mm long, ecalyculate, bracts 2 or 3, narrowly oblong, obtuse, glabrous, 1.5-2 mm broad. Corolla 8.5-10.5 mm long, lobes 1.5 mm long. Achenes 5×0.8 mm long, glabrous. Pappus glossy white, ca. 6-7 mm long.
