Phreatia kotoinsularis Fukuy.
Plants without pseudobulbs. Stems tufted, flattened, inconspicuous, enclosed by overlapping leaf sheaths. Leaves ca. 10, distichous, linear, 7-13 cm long, 8-10 mm wide, obtuse or obliquely retuse at apex, decurrent at base and articulated with equitant sheaths; sheaths ca. 1.5 cm long. Peduncle axillary, ca. 10 cm long; rachis 5-10 cm long; bracts ovate; pedicel and ovary 2 mm long. Flowers numerous, white, ca. 2.6 mm in diam.; dorsal sepal triangular ligulate or nearly oblong, 1.2-1.5 mm long, 1 mm wide, obtuse, 1-nerved; lateral sepals obliquely ovate, 1.5 mm long, 1.3 mm wide, mentum ca. 1 mm long; petals oblong, 1-1.2 mm long, 0.6 mm wide, 1-nerved; lip with shallowly saccate narrow base, widened into semiorbicular limb, 1.5 mm long, limb rounded and obscurely undulate at apex, base cuneate; column with short foot; anther orbicular; pollinia in 2 groups of 4, on narrow caudicle with round viscidium.
