Plants 10-15 cm tall, glabrous. Tuberoids 5-8 mm in diam. Stems slender, unifoliate near base, with 1 or 2 scales under leaf. Leaf 1, ovate or oblong, 2-4 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide, apex obtuse, base narrowed into sheath-like petiole enclosing stem. Peduncle 5-10 cm tall, naked, with minute ridges; rachis, 3-5 cm long, 8-15 flowered; bracts ovate, 1.5 mm long, acute; pedicel and ovary 4-5 mm long, 1-2 mm in diam., glabrous. Flowers green, ca. 4 mm across; dorsal sepal concave, triangular-ovate, 1 mm long, apex acute, margin often irregularly denticulate or ciliate, sometimes white-punctate above; lateral sepals erect-patent, oblong, 1.7-3 mm long, 0.7-1.5 mm wide, apex acute, more or less narrowed at base, margin and surface as in dorsal sepal; petals strongly concave and forming hood with dorsal sepal, elliptic or obliquely orbicular, 1-1.5 mm long, rotundate at apex, base truncate; lip ligulate, 1.5-2 mm long, 0.7-1 mm wide, apex obtuse; column minute, ca. 1 mm tall; anther hood-like, with 2 bases of theca divergent and attached to ends of rostellar arms; stigma entire, broadly pulvinae on whole ventral side of column.
