A natural hybrid between C. sylvatica and C. triplicata. Most characters intermediate between these parents. Roots 3-4 mm in diam. Flowers usually white, tinged with purple, rarely light purple or purple, often turning dull orange in age; midlobe of lip 2-lobulate to clawed reniform, retuse; spur 24-32 mm long.

Reported from southern Japan and the Ryukyus. Taiwan, known from a few localities at 500-1,300 m.
