密花小騎士蘭

Plants 2-3.5 cm tall to inflorescence. Rhizome distinct, creeping, branching, ca. 1 mm thick, nearly completely covered by many short scale-like sheaths, sheaths tubular, 3 mm long, with narrow base and wider but oblique mouth. Stems arising from rhizome at 0.6-1.5 cm intervals, obscured by leaf-bases. Leaves 3-5, equitant, laterally compressed, closely distichous, base with concealed sheaths, blade thick, fleshy, ovate or ovate-lanceolate, 8-15 mm long, 4-7 mm wide, apex acute, obliquely articulated with sheath at base. Spike 1.5-2.5 cm long; rachis dilated in middle to 2 mm in diam., with numerous closely arranged small flowers in whorls; bracts ovate, 1.2-1.5 mm long, apex acute, obscurely erose; pedicel and ovary 0.6-0.8 mm long. Flowers greenish or slightly tinged with purple, 1.2-1.5 mm in diam., not resupinate; dorsal sepal ovate, 0.6-0.7 mm long, 0.5 mm wide, obtuse; lateral sepals concave, ovate, 0.7 mm long, 0.4 mm wide, acute; petals linear-oblanceolate, 0.7 mm long, 0.2 mm wide, apex truncate-obtuse, base cuneate; lip 3-lobed from base, 1.2 mm long, 1.2 mm wide, base more or less decurrent and slightly surrounding column, saccate-impressed in middle, lateral lobes ovate-triangular or obliquely rectangular, margins obscurely erose-denticulate, terminal lobe rectangular, 0.6-0.8 mm long, 2-lobulate at apex, lobules triangular, 0.2-0.3 mm long, acute, sinus straight and wide; column ca. 0.1 mm long; anther operculate, broadly ovate, 2-celled; pollinia ovoid-clavate.

Endemic, broadleaved forests in mountainous regions in the south, 600-1500 m; on bark of lower and middle trunks of trees.
