Stems 60-80 cm tall, 7-10 mm in diam., base +/- dilated, without distinct pseudobulbs, leafy apically, with several tubular scales basally. Leaves 4-7, nearly distichous, oblong or oblong-obovate, 2030 cm long, 5-8 cm wide, apex acute, base cuneate, upper surface lustrous. Raceme from middle of stem, peduncle erect, slender; bracts oblong-lanceolate, 3-4 cm long, soon deciduous; pedicel and ovary

3-3.5 cm long, glabrous. Flowers loosely spaced, pink, 5 cm across; sepals elongate-oblong, 2.7-3.5 cm long, 8-10 mm wide, acute; petals linear-oblanceolate, 2.7-3 cm long, 4-6 mm wide, obtuse; lip spurred, folded, tube-like, obtriangular, 2-3 cm long, 2-2.5 cm wide, apex shallowly 3-lobed, lateral lobes erect, obtuse or rounded, midlobe truncate, often emarginate, apex cuspidate, curving downwards; disc with minute reddish dots and a median fleshy keel; spur 1-1.5 cm long; column 2 cm long, yellow or whitish, curved, dilated at apex; anther cordate, 2 mm long, hirsute outside, pollinia flattened ovoid, 1.5-2 mm long, connected by broad caudicles; stigma semiorbicular; rostellum short ligulate, undivided or slightly retuse.
