蘆竹屬
Tall rhizomatous perennial reed (A. formosana of modest size); leaves cauline; ligule membranous with minutely ciliolate margins. Panicle large, plumose. Spikelets: glumes as long as spikelet, 3-5-nerved; floret callus short; lemmas membranous, 3-7-nerved, plumose below middle, entire or bidentate, with a straight awnlet; palea 1/2-2/3 length of lemma.
Mediterranean to China; widely introduced elsewhere. R.
Species 3. iver banks and damp places. A. formosana is growing on cliffs.
