屏東鴨嘴草
Culms erect, weak, up to 40 cm high; nodes pubescent. Blade lanceolate, base
more or less rounded, about 7 cm long by 7 mm wide; ligule oblong, about 2 mm long, glabrous; sheath compressed, swollen, margin ciliate. Racemes paired, 4-6 cm long; rachis-joint and pedicel triangular in cross-section, swollen. Spikelets paired, the one pedicellate and the other sessile. Sessile spikelet about 4 mm long, ovate-oblong; callus short, ciliate; lower glume coriaceous towards base, convex, transversely 5-6 rugose, upper part chartaceous, oblique, with numerous nerves, scabrous; upper glume boat-shaped, keeled, shortly ciliate along keel; lower lemma lanceolate, transparent, 1-nerved, paleate; upper lemma ovate oblong, transparent 2-toothed, with an awn of 10-15 mm long, protruding from the sinus.

Endemic to Taiwan.
This species grows in southern Taiwan along irrigation ditches.
