Note: Apparently naturalized far from habitation in forested habitats, it is a wild form of the cultivated Mandarin or Tangerine which is widely grown for its edible fruit. The Malagasy plant was originally referred to a separate endemic species (C. voangasay), but this was later reduced to a mere variety, but taxonomic recognition hardly seems justified.
