Note: We exclude numerous specimens that have been placed here, but which we believe represent 2 new undescribed species, true A. capunonii differs from these most markedly by its very thick flowering and fruiting pedicels and larger flowers. It does, however show a marked disjunction between Manombo and Antongil Bay.
