Filipendula palmata (Pall.) Maxim.
Flowering stem 90-150 cm. Basal leaves palmate, 3-5 or 7-9 lobed, lower trifid-dentate. Stem leaves 15-20 cm x 15-25 cm. Inflorescence terminal, compact, umbel-raceme, flowers white or pale pink, numerous. V - April to October. Fl - July. Fr - August. P - by division or seed. Shade tolerant but prefers sunny places. Z 4.
Siberia (southwestern part of eastern Siberia), Far East (except extreme northern regions) and adjacent parts of China and Mongolia. Wet, mesic meadows, deciduous forests, river banks.
