Small tree or shrub 5-6 m. Leaves 3-lobed, up to 5 cm long. Often abundant crops of attractive pink, winged fruits. Cold resistant and heat resistant. Does well in hot but not humid climate. Z 6 (5). New.

Central Asia (Pamiro Alay, Tien Shan), Iran and Afghanistan. Broadleaved forests, river valleys, on mountain slopes.
