Tall shrub or medium-sized tree up to 15 m. Leaves 3-lobed with rounded blade 17 cm diam. Very ornamental. Resistant to urban pollution. Does well in partial shade. Not very drought tolerant. Z 5 (4).
Far East (southern regions), Korea and northeastern China. Dense forests.
