Shrub with prostrate branches 0.8-1.5 m. Leaves sessile, obovate in outline, 6 cm long, finely divided. Flowers yellow, solitary. Corolla 1.0-1.5 cm long, 2.5-3.5 cm wide. Fruits globose, brown-red. Heat resistant and drought resistant. Can grow in extreme environmental conditions, where other shrubs cannot. Z 5. New.
Russia (regions adjacent to the Caspian Sea), Central Asia (regions around the Aral Sea, Kopet-Dag) and northern Iran. In rocky places on gravelly soil.
