Brunnera macrophylla (Adams) Johnst
Rootstock short. Flowering stem 40-50 cm. Basal leaves long-petiolate, dark green, ovate-cordate. Petiole 20-25 cm long, blade 20-30 cm long. Inflorescence a short, paniculate corymb. Flowers numerous, light blue, similar to those of forget-me-not. V - early spring to mid autumn. Fl - May for 3-4 weeks. Fr - (if any) July. P - by seed or division. Prefers semi-shade, but can grow in shade, or in full sun if the soil is always moist. Z 4.
Caucasus (western regions, Kakhetia). In forests and on mountain stony slopes, including subalpine zones.
