Plant 3-5 (-10) cm. Rhizome branched. Flowering stem very short. Leaves in rosette, oblong with short petiole, pinnatisect or pinnatipartite. Heads large, many-flowered. Flowers pink-purple. V - mid spring to late autumn. Fl - June- July for 4-5 weeks. Fr - August-September. P - by seed and division. Well suited to the rock garden. Z 6 (5). New.
