Pseudomuscari coeruleum (Losinsk.) Garbari
Muscari coeruleum Losinsk.
Scapes 15-20 cm. Bulb elongate-ovate, up to 2 cm diam., pale brown. Leaves flat, linear, 2-3, 10-15 cm long, up to 1 cm broad. Flowers urceolate, blue with white marginal teeth, slightly narrowed at limb, in many-flowered cylindrical racemes. V - early spring to late summer, in St. Petersburg April-August. Fl - May. Fr - July. P - by seed, sown immediately when ripe or by division of the bulb clusters. Does well in semishaded places and also in sunny sites. Well suited to the rock garden. Z 4. New.
Caucasus (western part). Occurs in alpine meadows.
