Shrub 2 m, with dense crown, 3-4 m diam. Roots deep. Leaves paripinnate, narrowly linear, 2-13 cm x 0.2-0.5 cm. Flowers pink, crowded in a long (20 cm) panicle. A very attractive shrub when flowering (3-5 weeks in July). Heat resistant, extremely drought resistant, not tolerant of moist soil, very good for stabilizing sandhills. Propagated by seed only. Z 6 (5). New.
Central Asia (Karatau, Talassky Alatay, Betpak-Dala desert). On rocky slopes, in sandy and rocky places.
