Torenia sect. Tridens Bentham.
Herbs, glabrous or hispidulous. Stems elongated, branched, creeping, rooting from lower nodes. Leaves opposite, petiolate. Umbels axillary; peduncle short, with or without 2 small involucral bracts. Flowers pedicellate, bracteolate. Calyx broadly 3-winged, apex shallowly 3-lobed. Corolla small, 2-lipped. Stamens 4, didynamous, 2 anterior filaments appendaged; anther locules divaricate. Stigma 2-lamellate. Capsule septicidal.
Two species: SE Asia, China, Oceania; one species in China.
