Herbs perennial. Stems slender, 30-60 cm tall, pubescent. Petiole
slender, 1-4 cm; leaf blade triangular-ovate, 1.5-6.4 × 1.5-2
cm, hirtellous, adaxially olive green, abaxially greenish, base
cordate, margin crenate to dentate, apex acute. Cymes axillary,
sometimes helicoid, in loose terminal panicles; bracts subulate,
minute, ca. 2.5 mm. Calyx tubular, minutely hispid, ca. 4 mm,
veins elevated; teeth subequal, lanceolate, ca. 1 mm. Corolla
purple, ca. 8 mm, pubescent, glabrous inside; tube ca. 0.8 mm
in diam. at base, narrowest part ca. 2 mm, abruptly dilated into
throat ca. 3 × 3 mm; upper lip ca. 1.2 mm, 2-lobed; lower
lip longer, middle lobe subcircular, ca. 2.5 × 2.2 mm, margin
undulate. Style exserted. Nutlets dark purple-brown, ovoid, triquetrous,
ca. 0.8 × 0.6 mm, glabrous. Fl. and fr. Apr-Oct.
