Buchnera masuria Buchanan-Hamilton ex Bentham, Scroph. Ind. 41. 1835.

Perennials, 30-60 cm tall, entirely hispid. Stems erect, quadrangular, simple or weakly branched. Leaf blade linear, 2-3 cm, longest at middle of stem. Flowers solitary, rarely in a spike. Calyx ca. 1 cm at anthesis, to 1.5 cm in fruit, 15-ribbed; lobes ca. 2 X as long as tube, linear-elliptic. Corolla pink, white, or yellow; tube to 1.2 cm, apically curved forward; upper lip ca. 1/2 as long as lower, apex notched. Capsule ovoid, ca. 6 mm. Fl. summer-autumn.

Grassy slopes, hard forests; to 1100 m. Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, S Guizhou, Hunan (Hengshan Xian), S Jiangsu, SW Sichuan, Taiwan, Yunnan [Cambodia, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam].
