Leaves adaxially lucid, with short curly hairs on basal 1/2 of midrib; leaf blade ovate to lanceolate, 15-20 X 3.5-8.5 cm, green-black, base rounded to broadly cuneate or rarely shallowly cordate, margin usually serrate. Fl. Jun-Jul.
* Sparse forests, thickets; 500-600 m. NW Fujian, NE Jiangxi.
