横断山凤仙花 heng duan shan feng xian hua

Plants annual, 10-15 cm tall. Stem erect, slender, simple or rarely branched in upper part, yellow-brown pilose. Leaves alternate; petiole 0.5-1 cm, slender, yellow-brown pilose; leaf blade pale green abaxially, dark green adaxially, ovate or oblong-ovate, 2-3 × 1-1.5 cm, membranous, with 1 or 2 pairs of basal glands, abaxially yellow-brown pilose on veins, adaxially sparsely strigose, lateral veins 3-5(or 6) pairs, curved, base cuneate, margin crenate-serrate, apex acute. Inflorescences in upper leaf axils, 1-flowered; peduncles ca. as long as leaves or slightly longer, slender, 0.6-1 cm, sparsely yellow-brown puberulent. Pedicels bracteate at base; bracts persistent, ovate-lanceolate, 1-2 mm. Flowers golden-yellow, small, ca. 1.5 cm deep. Lateral sepals 4, outer 2: ovate-lanceolate, ca. 3 × 1 mm, 3-veined, apex mucronulate; inner 2: linear-lanceolate, hyaline margined, minute, ca. 1.5 × 0.5 mm. Lower sepal narrowly funnelform, 1-1.5 cm deep, gradually narrowed into a recurved or incurved spur; mouth oblique, ca. 7 mm wide, tip acute. Upper petal cucullate, elliptic, ca. 5 × 4-5 mm, apex rounded, abaxial midvein not thickened, puberulent; lateral united petals clawed, ca. 1.2 cm, 2-lobed; basal lobes ovate-oblong, apex acuminate; distal lobes dolabriform, apex obtuse; auricle inflexed, narrow. Filaments linear, ca. 3 mm; anthers ovoid, apex obtuse. Ovary erect, fusiform, ca. 2.2 mm. Capsule (immature) fusiform, 4-5 mm. Fl. Aug-Sep.
