Leaf blade 7–15 × 3–6 cm, 1.8–2.5 × as long as broad; abaxial surface fulvous or yellowish, indumentum thin, felted; adaxial surface without metallic luster when young. Corolla whitish or pale rose or lilac. Fl. May–Jun, fr. Jul–Sep.
Rhododendron thickets, mountain slopes; 3100–4200 m. S Xizang [Bhutan, N India, Kashmir, Nepal, Sikkim].
