红果水东哥(原变种) hong guo shui dong ge (yuan bian zhong)
Trees. Branchlets and petioles ferruginous- to brown tomentose, with sparse unguiculate hairs or scales, some scales truncate or 2-fid at apex. Leaf blade narrowly elliptic, unguiculate-scaly on midvein and lateral veins. Inflorescences 2.5-5 cm, stout, with 2 bracts at base of each branch; bracts narrowly ovate, ca. 5 mm. Petals suborbicular. Fruit depressed-globose or subglobose. Fl. Sep-Oct, fr. Oct-Nov.
● Mountain forests, valleys; 800-2500 m. SE Xizang, Yunnan.
