Plants annual, 30-40 cm tall, glabrous. Stem slender, flexuose. Leaves alternate; petiole 2-3 cm; leaf blade purple-brown abaxially, green adaxially, ovate or ovate-lanceolate, 5-10 × 2.5-3 cm, setose between marginal teeth, lateral veins 7-10 pairs, base attenuate into petiole, margin crenate or serrulate, apex acuminate. Inflorescences in middle or upper leaf axils, spreading, many flowered; peduncles 5-6 cm, stout. Pedicels fibrous, 1-1.5 cm, bracteate at base; bracts ?caducous, oblong-lanceolate, 3-5 mm. Flowers yellow, ca. 2 cm deep. Lateral sepals 2, oblong or ovate-oblong, 2-3 mm, midvein thick, apex obtuse. Lower sepal narrowly cornute, ca. 2 cm deep, gradually narrowed into a subreflexed, stout spur; mouth oblique, tip acute. Upper petal obovate-oblong, 5-6 mm, apex rounded, reflexed; lateral united petals not clawed, ca. 1.8 cm, 2-lobed; basal lobes oblong, apex obtuse; distal lobes linear, longer, apex obtuse; auricle inflexed. Filaments linear; anthers obtuse. Ovary curved. Capsule not seen. Fl. Aug.
