Stems single or few. Leaves often almost all basal. Inflorescences long spicate, centrifugal. Calyx 5-lobed. Corolla tube slightly less than 2 X as long as calyx; galea erect, more than 3 X as long as lower lip; beak long, more than 3 X as long as lower lip, slender, often S-shaped; lower lip very small.
