Small trees, 3–10 m tall; bark rough; young shoots densely glandular-setulose or setose; bud scales long, narrow, apex acuminate, caudate. Leaf blade oblong-elliptic or oblong-lanceolate; base obtuse or cordate; abaxial surface densely gland-tipped-setulose. Inflorescence 7–15-flowered. Calyx minute; corolla funnelform or funnel-campanulate, 7-lobed, white or cream to rose; stamens 14–16; filaments glabrous; ovary glandular-hairy or glandular-setulose; style glandular to tip.
Two species: China.
