Description from Flora of China
Herbs saprophytic. Leaves opposite; leaf blade scalelike, membranous. Flower solitary, 4merous. Calyx membranous, lobed nearly to base. Corolla rotate, lobed nearly to base. Stamens inserted at throat of corolla tube just below sinus between corolla lobes; anthers incompletely 2locular, dehiscing by apical pores. Ovary 2locular. Style elongate; stigma lobes orbicular. Capsules 2valved, many seeded.
Four species: Bhutan, China, NE India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand; one species in China.
