Rubus ampliflorus H. Léveillé & Vaniot, Bull. Soc. Bot. France 51: 218. 1904; R. megalothyrsus Cardot, p.p. (excluding specimen “Lienchow River, Kwangtung,” Ford 73); R. schindleri Focke; R. tephrodes var. eglandulosus Cheng; R. tephrodes var. schindleri (Focke) Handel-Mazzetti.
Plants without glandular hairs and bristles, rarely only partly sparsely stipitate glandular or bristly.
Mountainous regions; Low elevations. Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hunan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Zhejiang.
