Stem leaves 3-5 pairs; petiole 0.5-2.5 cm, shortened toward apex; leaf blade linear to linear-lanceolate, 3.2-7 cm × 5-9 mm, base obtuse, margin smooth or scabrous, apex acuminate, veins 1-3.
Cymes axillary or terminal, forming a narrow panicle, axillary cymes sometimes on pedunclelike branches; peduncle purple, to 4 cm. Flowers sessile, rarely with pedicel to 1 cm. Calyx tube 7-9 mm, membranous, sometimes split on 1 side; lobes linear to linear-subulate, 7-10 mm, unequal. Corolla pale blue or yellow, funnelform, 2-3(-3.5) cm; lobes ovate-elliptic to ovate, 4-6 mm, margin entire, apex obtuse; plicae narrowly triangular, 2-2.5 mm, 2cleft. Stamens inserted at middle of corolla tube; filaments 0.9-1.2 cm; anthers narrowly ellipsoid, 2-3 mm. Style 2-2.5 mm; stigma lobes narrowly ellipsoid. Capsules narrowly ellipsoid, 1.2-1.5 cm; gynophore 7-10 mm. Seeds light brown, ellipsoid, 1.2-1.5 mm. Fl. and fr. Aug-Sep.
