Briggsia crenulata Handel-Mazzetti, Sinensia 5: 20. 1934. 
Leaf blade ovate, 2.8-4.7 X 2.3-3.7 cm. Cymes 1-flowered; peduncle 7-9.3 cm. Corolla pale pink to purple or purple-red, inside deep red or purple-red spotted, ca. 3.3 cm; tube ca. 3 X 1.5-1.6 cm; adaxial lip ca. 6 mm, 2-sect from base, lobes suborbicular, 1-2.5 X (1-)2-3 mm, apex obtuse. Fl. Oct.
