Leaves 3–6 per ultimate branch; sheaths glabrous, ciliate; auricles inconspicuous; oral setae 5–11 mm; ligule truncate, ca. 1 mm, scabrous; blade linear-lanceolate, 5–15 × 0.5–1.1 cm, apex finely pointed, tip to 1 cm.
