Plants terrestrial, 25-80 cm tall. Rhizome stout, few noded. Stem erect, 8-35 cm, 5-11-leaved. Leaves spaced along stem or occasionally clustered toward apex, abaxially pale green, adaxially green, without white markings, oblong-elliptic to narrowly ovate-elliptic, 5.5-15 × 1.8-5.5 cm, base attenuate, apex acute or acuminate; petiole-like base and tubular sheath 3-7 cm. Peduncle green, 8-38 cm, glabrous to sparsely pubescent, with 4-10 sterile bracts; rachis 4-18 cm, densely many flowered, usually not secund; floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, 5-7 mm, glabrous, apex acuminate. Flowers fragrant, opening weakly, white tinged pale green, small; pedicel and ovary cylindric-fusiform, 3-5 mm, glabrous. Sepals glabrous, 1-veined; dorsal sepal ovate or elliptic, 3-3.5 × 1.7-2.5 mm, concave, apex acute; lateral sepals ovate, oblique, 2.5-3.2 × 1.5-2.2 mm, apex acute. Petals white, spatulate, 3-3.5 × 1-1.2 mm, 1-veined, apex obtuse; lip broadly ovate, 2.2-2.5 × 1.5-1.7 mm; hypochile concave-saccate, inside papillose; epichile deltoid, very small, apex obtuse or acute, recurved, with 2 small calli. Column ca. 2 mm; anther ovoid; pollinia ca. 1.3 mm; rostellum remnant shallowly bifid. Fl. Apr-May. 2n = 38, 42.
