Shrubs or small trees. Branches stout; buds scurfy hairy. Leaves to 20 cm; petiole 3.5-6 cm; axis somewhat terete; leaflets 3-5(-7), terminal 1 larger, with petiolule ca. 3 cm; leaflet blade broadlyovate, 8.5-12 x 4-5(-7) cm, leathery, adaxially glabrous; base attentuate to cuneate, margin remotely crenate, apex long acuminate; primary veins 6-10 on each side of midrib. Panicles terminal. Calyx shallowly cupular, ca. 2 mm; teeth deltate. Samara spatulate, 2.5-3 cm x ca. 5 mm. Fr. Sep.
