Description from Flora of China
Branchlets and inflorescence rachis slightly pubescent or glabrescent. Leaf blade oblong-lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, 4.5-10 × 2-3.5 cm, usually densely yellow villous abaxially, rarely hairy only along veins. Panicles terminal, leafy at base. Calyx glabrous. Fl. Jun, fr. Aug-Oct.
* Thickets near roadsides or gullies, under dense woods in calcareous montane regions; 500-2100 m. Sichuan.
