Stem leaves circular to broadly ovate, 3.5-6 cm in diam., palmately 5-lobed to 1/2 its length to palmately partite, abaxially white tomentose or long villous; lobes cuneate, pinnately divided or crenate. Verticillasters many flowered; floral leaves 3-partite; bracteoles subulate, spinescent, tomentose or villous. Calyx densely tomentose or long villous, tube 1.3-1.5 cm; teeth triangular, apex spinescent, anterior teeth 3.5-7 mm, posterior teeth 2-4 mm. Corolla yellowish or white, 2-3.5 cm, silky-villous, tube ca. 2 cm. Nutlets ca. 2-3 mm. Fl. Jul-Sep.
