Description from Flora of China

Pedicularis szetschuanica Maximowicz var. ovatifolia H. L. Li.

Plants to 40 cm tall. Leaf blade with 3--9 pairs of segments. Calyx 4--5.5 mm. Corolla 1.3--1.7 cm.

This subspecies has two varieties: var. triangularidens with a wider corolla and middle lobe of lower lip narrowly obovate, and var. angustiloba P. C. Tsoong with a narrower corolla and middle lobe of lower lip ligulate. * Forests, grassy slopes, river banks, moss-covered forest floor; 2600--3800 m. C and N Sichuan
