Veronica cephaloides Pennell, Acad. Nat. Sci. Philadelphia Monogr. 5: 84. 1943; V. nanaPennell.
Stems often 1, 15-20(-40) cm tall. Leaf blade margin deeply incised-dentate or rarely entire. Racemes capitate at anthesis, elongated or not after flowering. Corolla small; tube ca. 1/3 of corolla length. Capsule ca. 5 X 2.5 mm. Style 0.8-1.5 mm. Fl. Jul-Aug.
The whole plant is used in Tibetan medicine.
Alpine meadows; 3300-5800 m. S Xizang [NW India, Kashmir, Nepal, Pakistan, Sikkim].
