Plants perennial, tufted, 9--18 cm tall. Rhizome black-brown. Stems 0.3--0.6 mm in diam. Cataphylls 1--3. Basal leaves 1 or 2; leaf sheath auricles obtuse; leaf blade linear, 5--13 cm × 0.3--0.9 mm, apex acute. Inflorescences (1 or)2(or 3)-flowered; basal bract straw-colored, lanceolate, 5--9 mm, veins 3; other bracts yellowish white, broadly ovate, 1.5--3 mm, veins 1--3, apex acute. Flowers milk white. Perianth segments lanceolate; outer segments 4.5--5.5 × 1--1.5 mm, veins 3; inner segments 6--6.5 mm. Stamens 6, 7--8 mm; filaments 4--5 mm; anthers 2.8--3.2 mm. Style 2--3 mm; stigmas 1--1.5 mm. Capsule chestnut brown, ovoid, 4.5--5 mm, 1-loculed. Seeds rust-colored, broadly ellipsoid, crooked, ca. 1.5 mm, both ends appendaged; appendages caudate, short. Fl. Jul, fr. Aug.
